SUPERVISOR, HEALTH AND SAFETY

General Description:
Under general supervision, this role provides guidance to various functional groups for refining and maintaining the Facility and Safety Management System. Responsibilities include managing and updating Life Safety Organizations, ensuring timely training and engagement, conducting site safety inspections and audits, acting as Safety Officer for the H&S committee, and ensuring compliance with RA 11058. The role also involves participation in crisis management as part of the Local Incident Response Team, implementing identified H&S activities, and communicating Life Safety issues that may impact business operations.

 

 



RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives and Duties:

  1. Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain records of hazards, risks, inspection findings, and corrective actions.
    • Implement Document Control Procedures for electronic and physical files.
    • Support audits and regulatory visits.
  2. Life Safety Tools & Equipment:

    • Manage inventory and distribution.
  3. Clinic Management:

    • Oversee medical supplies and equipment adequacy.
    • Conduct quarterly health reviews.
  4. Regulatory Visits:

    • Handle DOLE, PEZA, BFP, and client visits.
    • Conduct floor walks and create compliance checklists.
  5. Statutory Reporting:

    • Annual Health & Safety Organization report.
    • Annual Work Accident & Illness Exposure report.
    • Monthly and quarterly reports on accidents, illnesses, and pollution control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge of RA 11058 compliance, physical security systems, and applications.
  • OSH certification/licensure preferred; experience as Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer.
  • Certified security professional or safety practitioner credentials.

 



QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong background in safety and health; Business Continuity Management preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000, and ISO 14001.
  • Trained First Aider/Basic Life Support.
  • Documentation and reporting, reliability, interpersonal skills, records management, program management.
