SUPERVISOR, HEALTH AND SAFETY
Role: Supervisor, Health and Safety
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, this role is responsible for providing guidance to various functional groups related to the refinement and maintenance of the Facility and Safety Management System.
- Manages and regularly updates the Life Safety Organizations, ensuring on-time training and driving engagement.
- Conducts periodic site safety inspections and audits.
- Acts as Safety Officer in running the H&S committee and ensures compliance with RA 11058 provisions.
- Serves as a member of the Local Incident Response Team during crisis management.
- Provides input and implements H&S identified activities.
- Communicates all Life Safety activities and issues that may impact the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Objectives and Duties:
Administrative Tasks:
- Keeps records of identified hazards and risks, inspection findings, and tracks corrective/preventive actions.
- Oversees effective implementation of Document Control Procedures, including electronic files.
- Maintains internal and external records related to facility management and safety.
- Supports other functions during audits and regulatory visits.
Life Safety Tools & Equipment:
- Manages inventory and distribution.
Clinic Management Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with regulated H&S workplace requirements.
- Oversees clinic operations, including medical supplies and equipment.
- Conducts quarterly reviews of health issues and management.
Local Regulatory Visits (DOLE, PEZA, BFP, Clients):
- Conducts regular floor walks.
- Creates compliance checklists.
Statutory Reporting:
- Annual Reports on Health & Safety Organization
- Annual Work Accident & Illnesses Exposure Report
- Annual Medical Data Report
- Monthly Work Accident & Illness Report (if any)
- Quarterly Reports on Health & Safety Committee
- Quarterly Self-Monitoring Reports – Pollution Control Officer
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or Postgraduate degree
- Minimum 3–5 years of equivalent professional experience
- Good understanding of RA 11058 compliance, physical security systems, equipment, and applications
- Work-related experience in Health & Safety (OSH Certification / Licensed preferred) and Environmental roles (Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer)
- Certified security professional and safety practitioner or equivalent
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong background in safety and health, preferably with Business Continuity Management
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000, and ISO 14001
- Trained First Aider / Basic Life Support
