NURSE

OVERVIEW

Provision of health care services in treatment of
patients.
Promote good health, also practice preventive
patient care including checkups, vaccinations,
suggesting diets and running lab tests to ensure the
bodily systems are functioning properly

RESPONSIBILITIES

General-duty nurses and are responsible for
the overall care of patients
Give medicines according to what has been
prescribed by doctors
Keep records of patients’ progress or any
symptoms of illness.
Conduct physical examination of the patients
and assist the doctor in diagnosing and treating
common illnesses and injuries.

QUALIFICATIONS

All practitioners must possess a medical degree (an M.D.) from a University OR
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) OR
Associate’s degree in nursing (AND) or a diploma OR
Graduates of any of these educational nursing programs can then obtain a NCLEX-RN license to practice as a
Registered Nurse (RN).
