DESIGNER, INSTRUCTIONAL, SR.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for developing high-quality courses for online and hybrid environments for the training department across the organization. It works closely with the Vice President of Training and supervises the curriculum team. The role also provides instructional design support, consultation, needs-based training, best-practices guidance, compliance support, and quality assurance.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, organize, and conduct workshops for new content designs or programs
  2. Coordinate and implement curriculums
  3. Collaborate with SMEs to develop online courses that meet quality assurance standards
  4. Supervise and ensure the quality of work from the Instructional Design team
  5. Review coursework for training requirements (internal and external)
  6. Proofread, coordinate, approve, and maintain curriculum
  7. Analyze learner performance data to improve retention
  8. Assess and discuss curriculum standards with stakeholders
  9. Design onboarding curriculum for new hires
  10. Recommend teaching techniques and new technologies
  11. Develop procedures for facilitators to implement curriculum
  12. Mentor or coach the Instructional Design team
  13. Coordinate project plans and monitor curriculum team progress
  14. Review and approve course content in client LMS
  15. Collaborate with Partnerships and Business Development teams
  16. Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience required
  • Knowledge of performance-based instructional design
  • Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Prime, and instructional design methodologies preferred
  • Sales training experience preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a college/university or corporate training environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working in diverse, professional team environments
  • Ability to foster inclusive environments and communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds
