DESIGNER, INSTRUCTIONAL (Qnect)
Role: Designer, Instructional
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Objectives and Duties
1. Helps Drive Company Values and Philosophy
- Ensures that curriculum is created within company processes and expectations, including (but not limited to) experiential learning and adult learning principles
- Provides consultation and project management in curriculum and instructional design, integrating learning technologies in in-class, hybrid, and fully online courses and programs
- Proposes course designs
- Assists trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with assessment of instructional outcomes by:
- Analyzing standards and curriculum goals
- Identifying and implementing high-level learning strategies to meet these goals
- Supports trainers, SMEs, and leaders in integrating social media tools, graphics, and emerging learning technologies to enhance training practices and participant learning experiences
- Adheres to company guidelines and procedures
2. Training Needs Identification
- Conducts needs assessments
- Designs and develops training programs
- Facilitates the delivery of both custom and corporate training programs
- Works with the Executive Leadership Team to address employee and client development needs
- Develops and maintains a library for all modules and curricula
3. Support Learning Technologies Implementation in Training
- Supports the Learning Management System (LMS) and learning technologies for leaders, SMEs, and participants
- Conducts workshops, demonstrations, or telephone training sessions for SMEs, trainers, leaders, and participants
- Creates documentation and instructions to assist course developers
4. Training Effectiveness Measurement
- Identifies gaps and creates action plans
- Designs training programs evaluated using the Kirkpatrick Model of Evaluation
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
Education
- College graduate in:
- Educational Instructional Design
- Educational Technology
- Related academic discipline
- Or equivalent experience
Experience
- Instructional design
- Educational technology
- Distance learning
- College instruction or training development
- Using and supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Training and development and/or teaching
- Familiarity with:
- Learning Management Systems
- Articulate
- Captivate
Certifications
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) — Desirable
