SUPERVISOR, HEALTH AND SAFETY

Job Summary

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, this role is responsible to provide guidance to various functional groups related to the refinement and maintenance of the Facility and Safety Management System.
Manages and regularly updates the Life Safety Organizations, ensuring on-time training and drive engagement. Conducts periodic site safety inspection and audits. Performs the function of Safety Officer in running the H&S committee and ensure compliance to RA 11058 provision.
Sits as member of the Local Incident Response Team, during crisis management. Provides inputs and Implement H&S identified activities. Communicates all Life Safety Activity and issues that may have potential impact to business.

Objectives and duties:
1. Administrative tasks:
    Keeps records of identified hazards and risks, findings that are result of health and safety inspection and tracking of corrective and preventive actions.
    Oversees the effective implementation of the Document Control Procedures including electronic files.
    Maintains records (both internal and external) pertinent to facility management and safety requirements.
    Keeps records legible, identifiable and traceable.
    Supports other functions during audit and regulatory visits.
2. Manage the Life Safety Tools & Equipment, Inventory management and distribution.
3. Clinic management responsibilities and relationship
        Check regulated H&S requirements in the workplace.
        Oversee Clinic Management, i.e Medical Supplies, equipment adequacies
        Quarterly review of Health issues & management
4. Local Regulatory visits (DOLE, PEZA, BFP, regulatory and other Client Visits).
        Conducts regular Floor Walk
        Creates compliance checklist
5. Statutory reporting.
        Annual Reports On Health & Safety Organization
        Annual Work Accident & Illnesses Exposure Report
        Annual Medical Data Report
        Monthly Work Accident & Illness Report, if any.
        Quarterly Reports on Health & Safety Committee
        Quarterly Self-Monitoring Reports – Pollution Control Officer

Area of expertise (Skills)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or Post graduate degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of equivalent professional experience
  • Good understanding of RA 10058 compliance requirements, Physical Security systems, equipment and applications.
  • Work related experience on Health & Safety (OSH Certification / Licensed - Preferred) and Environmental (Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer role)
  • Must have credential as certified security professionals and safety practitioner or equivalent
  • Should have a strong background on safety and health, preferably with Business Continuity Management
  • Knowledge on ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000 and ISO 14001
  • Trained First Aider/Basic Life Support
